Every school listed on Best Yoga Training Bali goes through a structured data collection process. We check Yoga Alliance registration, source pricing from school websites, review teacher credentials as published, and analyze Google review patterns for each program. This page explains how each step works.
How YTT Schools Are Selected
Schools must meet all of the following criteria to be included in this directory:
- Verified Google Maps listing with student reviews
- Offers genuine yoga teacher training programs (200hr, 300hr, or 500hr)
- Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS) status, confirmed via the public Yoga Alliance directory
- Physical location in Bali (Ubud, Canggu, Uluwatu, Seminyak, Sanur, Tabanan, or Nusa Lembongan)
- Identifiable online presence for pricing and program data verification
How Schools Are Ranked
The default order on our comparison pages is produced by a formula. It reads four things about each school, all of them publicly available:
- Whether a training is actually scheduled. A school that publishes start dates for an upcoming teacher training outranks an otherwise comparable school that publishes none, whatever their ratings. A school can be registered, describe a course in detail, and still have nothing you can book, and this site is for people choosing a training to attend. We check it by reading each school's own website.
- Google rating. The star average from the school's Google Maps listing. Of the rating and the review count, this carries the more weight.
- Review volume. How many students have reviewed the school on Google. This matters, but less than the rating, and its effect flattens out as the count grows, so a school with thousands of reviews does not automatically bury one with hundreds.
- How complete the listing is. Schools that publish their program prices and have photos are placed above schools that have photos but no published prices, and both are placed above schools with no photos at all. This applies before the rating and review scoring, so it is the strongest single factor in the order. It exists to give schools a reason to publish their pricing openly, which is the whole point of a comparison directory.
We do not publish the exact weights. A published formula is a formula schools can game, and that would make the ranking less useful to you, not more. On pages that show a numbered top 10, the number beside each school is its position in this order. You can re-sort any comparison page by price or by rating at any time, and the sort controls are on the page itself.
How Teacher Credentials Are Assessed
Lead teacher credentials are sourced from school websites and their Yoga Alliance school profiles. We note E-RYT 200 and E-RYT 500 designations as published by the school. We do not independently verify individual teacher registrations with Yoga Alliance. Students are encouraged to confirm teacher credentials directly with the school before enrolling.
How YTT Prices Are Verified
Prices are sourced directly from school websites and booking platforms where available. We distinguish between shared accommodation, private accommodation, and tuition-only pricing tiers.
- Locate published pricing on the school website or affiliated booking platform
- Record price in USD along with the accommodation tier included
- Confirm the program is actively offered for upcoming dates
- Note the verification date shown on each school listing
How Yoga Alliance Status Is Noted
Yoga Alliance RYS (Registered Yoga School) status is checked via the public Yoga Alliance school search at yogaalliance.org. Schools must hold active RYS-200, RYS-300, or RYS-500 registration to be listed. If a school's registration lapses, it will be removed from the directory at the next verification cycle.
How Ratings Are Sourced
All ratings and review counts come from Google Maps. We do not modify or supplement these figures. We encourage visitors to read full reviews rather than relying on the aggregate score alone.
What a Listing Confirms
A YTT school listing on Best Yoga Training Bali confirms:
- The school has a verified Google Maps presence with student reviews
- Program prices are sourced from the school's published materials at the verification date shown
- Teacher credentials noted in the listing are as published by the school at time of verification
- The programs listed reflect those the school actively promotes
A listing does NOT confirm:
- We endorse or recommend the school or its teachers
- We have verified Yoga Alliance registration
- Quoted prices are comprehensive or final

Update Schedule
- YTT prices: Re-verified regularly against school websites
- Program availability: Checked during each verification cycle
- Teacher credentials: Reviewed when schools update their published team information
- Google ratings and reviews: Refreshed regularly from Google Maps data
- New school additions: Added when eligible schools meeting our criteria are identified
